PVMC Cardiac Nutrition Classes

This class is for individuals with newly diagnosed cardiac disease and for those who want the latest information on reducing the risk of cardiac disease through proper nutrition.
Participants will learn how to:
- Understand the difference between cholesterol and various fats;
- Understand what effect consumption of various fats has on blood lipids;
- Acknowledge the general guidelines for reducing the risks for heart disease;
- Understand the food groups and appropriate choices to reduce blood cholesterol.
