Bob and Melissa gracefully share their affection with their first son, Jack, who was born at 12:00 on 12/12/12.

During the holiday season we all like to hear good news. Well, today a little celebrity arrived at Platte Valley Medical Center. Bob and Melissa Torbet are the proud parents of a shining star; their first child was born at 12:00 p.m. on 12/12/12. Jack Glenn Torbet weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was delivered naturally. Jack is all the more special because his parents have been trying to have children for 15 years; in fact, they were told there was only a 1 in 750,000 chance that they would get pregnant. Jack is named after his two great-grandfathers, Melissa’s grandfather, Jack, who was born on December 12 and Bob’s grandfather, Louis Glenn, who passed away on December 12.

Bob and Melissa are life-long residents of the area. Bob grew up in Brighton, Melissa in Fort Lupton.

Jack was delivered by Dr. Maureen Fleming of Alcott Women’s Center.
