Dr Kyle Haffner Podiatrist

“MY LOVE OF BRIGHTON BROUGHT ME BACK HOME,” Podiatrist Kyle Haffner smiles as he explains why he chose to build his medical practice at Platte Valley Medical Center.

“My wife and I are originally from the Brighton area,” he continues. “I graduated from Weld Central High School in Hudson and my wife Krista went to Brighton High. We always wanted to come back to the community where we were raised and give back to the people who gave us so much.”

Dr. Haffner is the first physician born at Platte Valley Medical Center to come back and join the hospital’s medical staff. He always knew he would pursue a career in medicine and decided to become a Podiatrist after injuring his ankle while playing football at Western State College of Colorado. After finishing his bachelor’s degree at Western State, he went to Des Moines University where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree. He later became chief resident at West Houston Medical Center, one of the few residency programs in the U.S. to teach total ankle replacements. During his tenure, he learned three different types of replacement techniques and became an award-winning researcher on foot and ankle reconstruction.

Dr. Haffner works with Orthopedic Specialists Kosta Zinis, D.O. and Daniel Hamman, M.D. at Mountain View Orthopedics in the Medical Plaza. Whether you have painful flat feet, corns, calluses and bunions, or need reconstructive foot and ankle surgery or an ankle replacement, Dr. Haffner is specially trained to relieve foot discomfort. He treats children and adults and has a special interest in foot trauma, ankle arthroscopy, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage.

“My goal is to actively involve my patients in their healthcare,” he explains. “This means spending the time to explain and answer all of the questions my patients may have. I want them to know that the most important patient to me is the one that I am seeing.”

When he is not busy in the clinic or operating room, Dr. Haffner enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and hiking. Together with their three young children, Kyle and Krista may have taken a brief journey away but are now elated to call Brighton home again!

If you have chronic foot pain and would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Haffner, please call 303-498-1885. His office is located at 1606 Prairie Center Parkway, Suite 170, in Brighton.
